Unity Tenth’s process to get a website for your organization is quite simple. However, it is not a set-it-and-forget-it-thing. Building a website is a team effort between your organization and Unity Tenth. The reason for this collaboration is to ensure 3 things:
Your website is user friendly for your visitors,
Your website is user friendly for you,
Your website represents your organization in the most professional manner.
Here’s a brief rundown of what you should expect in order to get a website designed by Unity Tenth:
Complete and submit the appropriate order form for either Self Service or Full Service.
Sign up for a time to discuss your quote, for Unity Tenth to learn about your organization, and to discuss your website’s needs. This is called the “Client Collaboration Meeting.” BEFORE WE CAN PROCEED, WE MUST HAVE THIS MEETING. At the meeting, you can decide whether you need more time to talk the quote over with other stakeholders, proceed with the project, or decline the project. (The meeting will be held over a free video web conferencing platform called Zoom. You don’t need a camera, but you will need to be at a desktop computer with high-speed internet access to attend the meeting. We’ll both look at websites you like to point out what about it you like.)
Unity Tenth will email you credentials for your Growth Center Account after you agree to proceed with the project. The Growth Center is your account and project dashboard. You will be able to sign the terms digitally, make payments online, submit work tickets, upload assets, and more.
You’ll receive emails to log into your account dashboard to sign the terms and pay the invoice. Your invoice must be paid in full before we can proceed with your project. Self Service clients will get an invoice of 40% of the total project cost. Full Service will get an invoice of the first month’s subscription.
Unity Tenth works on your website. You will submit assets that need to be included on your website (content, pictures, logo, links, etc.). Unity Tenth allows you to write the content for your website since you know your organization best. If you don’t have time to do it, or if you don’t have anything to say, you can find someone on Fiverr to write it for you. Click on this link to visit their website. Unity Tenth will send you an email notifying you that your website is ready for a review of the first draft. You will get a link to look at it (don’t worry, no one will be able to see the site at this point but you). We’ll go back and forth making changes to the site until you “sign off” on the website. Make your comments through the Growth Center, please! PLEASE NOTE THAT EVERY CHANGE THAT IS MADE WILL REQUIRE REVIEW UNLESS YOU SAY THAT YOU HAVE “SIGNED OFF” ON THE PROJECT.
(Only for Self Service clients) You will get a final invoice for the remainder of the amount which must be paid in full before your website is officially launched, NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are unable to pay in full, Unity Tenth can work with you.
You (or your webmaster) gets trained on how to operate the website. You can choose to have a live video tutorial through Zoom OR have pre-recorded short videos in your website’s dashboard on the most essential functions of your website.
