New Life Empowerment Ministries is a church based in Jonesboro, AR. This was my first WordPress redesign job. The pastor wanted a simple site that made it possible for his congregation to search for topics. I made his topics searchable, created a new header, and cleaned up the look.
I redesigned the logo to match the logo for their non-profit organization, but with some aesthetic differences to match the personality of the ministry. Also, the website utilizes a premium theme which involves a lot of other plugins essential for a 21st century church, such as online tithing (Give plugin). The theme also came with it’s own sermon management plugin.
UPDATE: 10/2021
The pastor of New Life Empowerment wanted a more modern and simpler redesign of his website. The website now uses the Divi theme and uses the dark red as the dominant color. I used Smart Slider 3 Pro, Advanced Custom Fields, and Custom Post Type UI to create a system to make it easier for their website manager to add announcements which are shown on the full screen landing page.
I used Divi Engine to also create an updated download gallery for their parishioners. Finally, the website is set up to automatically post new videos from their YouTube channel to their website.
